Have you ever played the board game, Taboo? Taboo requires you to describe a given word without using some descriptors that are common to the word.
For this week,
describe an apple in five to seven sentences (no more, no less!) without using the words:
fruit, red, sweet, juicy, crunchy, yellow, green, small, big
Use figurative language and be creative!
The student with the best description gets additional points :)

to me an apple is crispy treat. It grows on tall magnificent trees. It can be converted to drinks. It tastes weird. It is very shiny on the outside. Can be chocolate to taste better
ReplyDeleteThe apple has always been my favorite opposite of vegetable, ever since i was a baby. The apple goes with everything. Pasta, chocolate, caramel, and some weird pastas, but it's always the best when eaten solo.Oh and did you know!? When you take a
ReplyDeletebite from an apple, it actually cleans your teeth? Cool right? Anyway that's all i have to say!
The apple is my favorite fruit. It's refreshing. It is also vitamin packed. It's full of vitamins and it's bursting with flavor.Apples are very healthy and they are really tasty. Some apples are tart, these kinds of apples are used in some salads. Apples can also be in delicious and mouthwatering desserts like pies.

ReplyDeleteWhen you hear the word "Apple" you would most likely be thinking of a shimmering, oddly shaped crimson figure hanging from a tree outside or sitting happily on a desk.
ReplyDeleteThe Apple's crimson skin contrasts with the gold flesh found inside.
Biting into an Apple, be it a huge chunk or a tiny nibble, the flavors still explode in your mouth and confuse thy tastebuds, The Sourness and the candied-like goodness mix into one luscious, angelic, saccharine, sympathetic harmony of flavors.
An Apple isn't just an Apple, it's a treasure of Mother Nature herself, Adam and Eve ate the Apple and were banned from Eden, Apple's can be of wisdom, It can be of something that catches your eye, it ca be of something beautiful, it can be of something out of the ordinary, maybe out of the blue too, but one word that ties all of them up together, An Apple can be anything you want it to be.
An Apple could mean different things, Like how the bright crimson skin could resemble love or affection, and how the white glistening flesh could be the pureness of love, and the seeds within could be what the pureness and love yield in the future.
You see, anything could mean anything, just think about it, how something as simple as an Apple could be a representation of your life, the world or maybe the universe.
A for An Apple is Amazing.
I kind of got carried away! Sorry!

ReplyDeleteApple is symbolic
ReplyDeleteI have always been fascinated by this gift of nature. Not just because of its shape, taste, color and fame, but also with its symbolism as that thing that made Adam and Eve aware of their nakedness. I know that it was called the "thing" of knowledge but most illustrations about this first biblical story uses the apple as that "thing" they ate. Why not grapes or bananas or papayas for that matter? Why does the apple needed to be used to symbolize sin? I think because artists of the old days were also fascinated by the beauty of this majestic, magnificent, magenta harvest.
Before I actually start writing my description I just want to say that the apple was never mentioned in Genesis. The fruit that they ate was referred to as the forbidden fruit.
ReplyDeleteThe apple is a scarlet looking produce that you can get from a tree. It kind of has an oblong shape with a smooth surface. When you eat an apple it makes a munching or chomping sound. It is a bit tiny when you compare it to produce like watermelons and pumpkins. I would say that the taste of an apple is a bit sugary and really good.
An apple is a fascinating thing, it's scarlet color makes my mouth water like =P~~~~~, and I like munching into one, it's also helps regulate bowel movements!

An apple a day keeps the doctor away.
ReplyDeleteAn apple has is covered by a thin layered skin. Each apple can have three different colours. The inside of the apple is a white glistening flesh. It is filled with a delicious sticky substance. The core is a small hollow hole. It holds the hard coffee colored seeds inside.
